Our aim Our aim is simple, we want to serve French speaking churches around the world by encouraging and training pastors and preachers to be faithful expositors of His Word, and this so that His Word might be proclaimed and His people might know him and live for him.
The theological convictions that undergird our work
The Bible (in the original autographs) is God's inspired, inerrant and sufficient Word for today. It contains all we need to know in order to be in right relationship with God and live for him in all of life.
When the Bible is faithfully taught and proclaimed God is speaking to us ; his voice is heard clearly and sufficiently.
Preaching is God's privileged means, without being the only one, by which, through the sovereign work of the Spirit, he grants his children to come to faith and grow up as mature, faithful disciples of his Son.
Who we are At the moment we are a nascent work headed up by Etienne Koning and assisted by Trevor Harris. Etienne and Trevor are both pastors in the Paris region. There are five local preaching groups and an annual conference bringing together a committed core of about 30 to 35 expositors from across France, Switzerland and Belgium. This inspiration for this ministry comes from the ministries of the Proclamation Trust (UK) and the Simeon Trust (US).
Future plans We want to try and expand our work in the future by setting up : ...
more local preaching groups where expository preachers can meet together and give each other support and useful feedback,
a summer school in basic exegesis, expository preaching principles and sermon practice across all Biblical genres
one on one mentoring
online resources
regional training seminars
